Adhesive, covers both.....

To some of us, a sticky surface that adheres to another is not the same as applying a separate bonding agent, regardless of what you choose to call it. There is a presumption that you can remove and clean up after most adhesive type surfaces, whereas you never know with an adhesive type liquid. Just my take.

The two brands being discussed can most likely be removed with no issues.

To some of us an adhesive can be temporary OR permanent, like building adhesives.

5200 is an adhesive/sealant.
Will take you 2 minutes to put it on, and 2 days to get it off... used it!

Does anyone have experience with the Lolumina soft release button? If so, how did you know it would work with your camera before ordering?

I just can not see any use for a gadget like this!

Most of us layman who buy hangers and what not, are quite familiar with what I am referencing when it comes to so called stick on normal consumer products.
A peeing contest for items we are not discussing serves no particular purpose.

Bob, the world is glued together, glue is used in and on cameras. Get cut, go to ER and they may superglue your wound!!

My feeling is that I bought the camera, I own it, and I will modify at will. I just examined two of my pocket cameras and the lowest profile Lolumina would be worthwhile. For my Sony A65 good addition I will order one of these soft triggers.

This product is reasonably priced and looks well researched giving us details rarely given to the prospective purchaser.

PS: I purchased "Leica" cuff links and added one to my Panasonic which has a Leica lens system. Just for the fun of it! A previous Panasonic I had had a twin Leica, the biggest difference was a little leather glued on and an additional $300 glued onto the price.

I have one for the Fuji XT2. It is red and screws on and has never come off. I will keep looking at my purchase orders until I can find the brand as it is not evident on the the actual soft button.

Update: Lensmate Tri-Tadpole Soft Release Button - Red
Ordered from Amazon 19.95
Expensive for what it is but I liked the looks of it. Bought and installed it over a year ago- no problems.

I’m with you on that! These “soft” releases have been around for decades in some form or another, mostly as hard metal large button thingies that screwed into your camera’s shutter release cable release socket. Their description as “soft” seemed a bit of a misnomer. The rubbery ones seen now would seem to give one a sense of being “detached” from the true feel of the camera control. My opinions only.

I have the Lensmate Brass Lizard soft release button that screws into the shutter button of my Fuji X-T20.
I like it a lot, it makes it so much easier to release the shutter without jarring the camera.
