A bug in the hardware? That's new.
No, nothing new. Several years back I worked as a photographic technician for a university. We had 15 Pentax K1000's (SLR's). 2 of which several tiny bugs could be seen through the viewfinder. A little disconcerting for the students but did not cause a problem in the resulting image.
Honestly, if it has bugs, return it.
If it has sensor dust, decide if you can / should clean it yourself. I do my own cleaning, there's nothing to it except careful work and lots of testing to confirm the work is done. But, you need the tools and they're more expensive that you'd think they should be.

Leave the lens off, and put some crumbs outside the camera.
A Rocket Blower sounds like a good start. Insecticide would be a No-No. : )
Swapping with the dealer for a different one might be a good idea.
I usually put mine in a freezer bag and put it in the deep freezer a day or two. That usually kills the little buggers!
Thanks Jerry, was not bought from a dealer. But the vendor has been extremely helpful, rightn through to refunding money if need be.Really want to keep itas it's an update for me.
Zip Lock bag it, put it in the freezer overnight, then vacuum it out.
don't forget to put a little ricein the bag
Another local photographer has suggested cat flea collars.Has same effect, gasses them.
Solution: small quantity of IsoproPyl alcohol, the stuff you clean lens contacts with,in a body cap,put camera face down on body cap, cover with a towel.Leave for several hours and voila, you've gassed them. The method using bits of a flea collar has same effect.
It's now over three weeks and no sign of them.
