If you were just starting out with digital image processing and going to use Lightroom 6 Classic, not the Creative Cloud version, (although I realize there are many similarities)(Lightroom 6 Classic is a given so please do not suggest other software), and you had never used Lightroom before and you only had one resource (book, on line tutorial, or ?) to use to learn to process in Lightroom 6, what would that resource be? Thanks in advance for any guidance that you can provide.

Victoria Bampton's book on LR 6. I believe it's called something like "the missing FAQ".

If you want to know every single thing about Lightroom, every single feature, and all its capabilities, there is really only one book, "The Adobe Photoshop Lightroom CC / Lightroom 6 Book: The Complete Guide for Photographers" by Martin Evening from Adobe Press. Many other books may teach various approaches to using Lightroom and can be quite useful and even preferable depending on your learning style, but Martin Evenings' book, from Adobe itself, is the only one that documents every single feature and ability Lightroom has. For the sake of brevity, most, if not all, of the other books, leave a lot of things out and are therefore incomplete.

Laura Shoe's DVD set or Ben Wilmore's class at Creative Live. Neither one free, but IMHO worth the cost.

Hi, I have used LR for around eight years now. I teach it one-on-one and have taught college classes. When studying to get LR certified I simply read and re-read the Adobe LR help manual: I actually read the entire manual through once and then reread parts of it a second time. It is your best resource and the first resource you should go to. It will give you all of the information you need to get started. After that I like the Martin Evening book best, print or digital. He is very linear in his approach. Some of the information may not be applicable to older software but the basics will still be the same. I highly recommend signing up for the most recent version available through Adobe via the online purchasing option.

I always look to Julieanne Kost for answers to any Lightroom questions. http://www.jkost.com/. Her many YouTube videos are clear and informative.
