X pro 1 question

Hi there. I bought a slightly used x pro 1 lately. Only 2200 shots. Anyway, I have set up my custom film settings so that the minimum shutter speed should only be 1/60 and my ISO is auto up to 6400. Most shots are okay but occasionally the shutter speed drops to 1/6 as an example. Hope you can help.

That’s exactly how I set my XE2s (1/60 with auto ISO 6400). Shutter speed drops when there is no enough light for this setting. Try to open the aperture or use ISO 12800. But that’s the reason, you need more light.

Thanks. Thought about that. Makes sense. But, how can I make 12800 (or for heavens sake 25600) be the ISO for auto ISO. I can't seem to find that out. Any ideas.

What type of film with ISO 6400?

I don't know about XPRO1, I can set ISO in my XE2s up to 51200 but manually. There is no AUTO ISO above 6400. I very rarely use ISO 12800, you can't really expect good image quality at such high ISO.
I've heard good things about XPRO 1, excellent colors, I almost bought used one but sales person convinced me to get new XE2s. Think about using flash in low light and stay at lower ISO.

Another thing-I use two lenses 18-55 and 55-200. Both have OIS ( Optical Image Stabilization), works great. I have images taken at shutter speed 1/6 sec and they look sharp. I still can't believe it.

Don't use Auto ISO. The roving ASA setting will always be one of your issue. OTOH, locking it at such a high setting solves no problems and only results in too much noise in your pictures.

Without knowing more about your difficulties, I have no pat solution, except to learn to get out of A or P and learn manual control of your camera where you, based on readings from the meter Set ALL your settings, Aperture, Shutter AND ISO.

Int automation just great. Thank God there was only film and no computer based camera's when I learned in the Sixties with film.
