John McCain, you decide.

This is exactly the kind of guy Schumer would be buddies with.
Walk a mile in his shoes....
Because McCain was a Republican I could not v**e for him. But he was an honorable man. The Vietnamese would have returned hin from captivity but he refused their conditions out of concern for other prisoners. As punishment he was maltreated that amounted to torture. I always regarded him as being closer to 'old time' Republicans than the modern kind. You know those old time Rs had different ways to solve problems than the Ds, but they did not deny the problems.
Like todays newspaper has an article on algea blooms in Lake Superior, yet many modern Rs call g****l w*****g a h**x - they deny a problem exists.

Love to. He didn't have Obamacare like he forced on the "Deplorables".
A lot of folks here in AZ consider him a carpetbagging RINO.

Is there no bottom to the lack of morals on the right?
McCain was an icon, an American hero who stood up for what he believed in.
Have a little respect and if you can't say any thing good about this man then keep your damn mouth shut.

You're good with Trump, but throw shade on McCain for this?

I don't know how anyone can compare Trump to John McCain and even remotely find Trump as a "winner" in any form. McCain has more American Spirit in his urine stream than Trump will ever have.

When did it matter to Democrats what Americans wanted?

I've read a fair amount about McCain. Common sense tells you that he should have been grounded. No one destroys planes like he did and still gets to fly jets. The mail plane? maybe. Jets, no.
As to him being shot down? His fault again. He even admitted as such. He was seeking glory, maverick style instead of following protocol. All the other pilots on that mission made it back. Ejecting from the plane, seems he screwed that up too and nearly k**led himself...broken bones and landed in a body of water. I guess the "hero" part comes in as a POW.
I wouldn't be so quick to canonize the man just yet.
His personal life? Seems like he was a skirt chasing dirtbag. Divorced his wife after she suffered a car accident that left her paralyzed? So much for in sickness and in health vows.
It appears that later in life he finally had the "acuity" as he says in this video to admit he was flawed. How much of this speech is genuine? Search me. I mean, he is a politician so....
