I think that everybody want to save money like me. Genuine ink cartridges are expensive and every time I am checking price of cartridges for my printer on eBay. I never buy compatible ones and always looking OEM cartridges from sellers with good feedback. Last time I bought this https://www.ebay.com/itm/Lot-of-2-NEW-Canon-CLI-8Y-Yellow-Ink-Tanks-GENUINE/362416111740?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649. Price was very good. My question is: "Can I trust sellers like this and be sure that I bought genuine cartridges?"

I can only guess that the price is low because the cartridge is beyond the expiration date "outside packaging is missing", that is where the expiration date would be found.
I will recommend that you check the Canon store website for fresh guaranteed cartridges, I only buy from there for my Canon Pro 100n printer. When I buy 3 or more cartridges in one order they usually send me a couple hundred dollars worth of free photo paper.
I have never had a problem with clogging or color shift from using Canon OEM ink.

I am sorry. I have 3 cartridges in the boxes but do not see expiration date. Could you post a picture with expiration date. Maybe I am missing something and can not see it.

You are buying from an unknown source. It's like buying from a guy in a parking lot at night. For the savings of a couple of bucks per cartridge. One bad cartridge and your print heads need to be replaced. Do you really want to take that chance? I don't so I buy genuine carts only.

You did not answer my question. One more question. Are you buying anything on eBay? I am buying very often and never had any problem. I am buying only from people who has very good feedback.

BEWARE An out of date int cartridge destroyed the head on my Epson7900 printer forcing me to replace the printer. Fortunately the reseller had just received a list of refurbished SC-P7000 printers and I paid only ~50% of list.

Presumably there was a clump of pigment that did not break apart when I carefully agitated the cartridge before inserting into the printer.

I decided to help you and post pictures of Canon cartridge in the original box. Where can I find expiration date?

I think that you will have to direct that to Canon. Epson clearly prints the use before date on the outside of the box.

my boxes from Epson have an expiration date in that similar bottom box. Because it has no expiration date, would that be reason to question?

All my Epson cartridges have an expiration date and there are 3 different kinds of cartridges for 3 different printers.

Just saying.

Maybe Canon cartridges can last forever. I am kidding. Maybe bar-cod contains information about expiration date. I will try to find out this. If I can not find this information on the box I do not see reason to sell cartridges without boxes to hide this information. When I bought a cartridge a few days ago this letter was in my envelop.

Just checked for an expiration date on my Canon CLI42 cartridges and found none. With that said, I’ve purchased lots of genuine Canon and Epson inks that are new and expired without a problem. I just make sure they’re sealed in their original vacuum bag.

Even if the seller doesn’t accept returns, Ebay will help with any problems you might have. Those that sell a lot, don’t want a bad review.
