I have been reading posts on UHH for several months, and have learned a great deal and have had lots of fun. I am a retired civil engineer who lived in Vermont until retirement, now living in the Ocala, FLorida area. I have been taking pictures (snapshots, not photographs), for most of my life, starting with a Kodak Brownie, on to a 35mm Kodak rangefinder, thru a couple of other film cameras and finally into digital. Now that I am retired I have a small amount of enthusiast level digital equipment which I am trying to learn how to use somewhat. With the weather here in Florida I can sit out in my yard several days a week and just shoot images under various conditions and with different camera settings. Given enough time I might actually learn something. I have attached a couple of photos which I was fortunate enough to be in the right place for and have enough skill to point the camera in the right direction and wait for the green focus indicator to steady. I look forward to learning much more on this site, and probably asking some basic (dumb) questions. (Which my wife says if my forte!) Thanks for having me. Ed
This year's bluebird young decided to have a family reunion this morning. I think the one in back was saying "Weren't you supposed to bring the wine?"

Welcome to UHH. There are many here that will help you if you ask, so don't hesitate. There is an "Ask the Pro's" section on the forum where you can ask questions that will only be answered by a group of Pro's just for that section. Not all members of UHH can answer questions in that section, but all can read it.
