Trying to get used to my new Sigma f/1.4 lens. This was taken @ f/2.0, hand held. The narrow DOF makes it hard to get it sharp w/o image stabilization, which my A6300 does not have.

The second on is my street. The 16mm gets nice and wide. Have to try this with the tripod.

I need more practice..lol...

Can you step up shutter speed. I used to be able to hold a 125/sec now it 500/sec

The cactus was @ f/2.0 1/500. The street shot was @ 1/125 f/8.

Image stabilization has nothing to do with DOF, so would not help in making an image sharper in this case. What is it that you feel a tripod would do to improve your street shot? Looks fine to me.
. . . . also there is no bokeh in either image so am curious why the title of your thread???

focus it not sharp, to me, on the street shot.

Unfortunately the image you have posted here is so small that it couldn't be sharp under any circumstances. posting an image 600x900 pixels @ 100 dpi is a waste of your effort. Post the full res image for more detail.
