After installing the latest Lightroom Classic update I now find that the DxO plug-in no longer works with Lightroom when I try to export an image from Lightroom to DxO and an error message is generated when I try to use it. After contacting DxO support I received the following reply -

Greetings,

We have been informed that Adobe made changes to how Lightroom works that affects how DxO PhotoLab works with it. Our developers are currently investigating what Adobe did and how to resolve the issue. As soon as a resolution to the problem can be determined, the developers will release an update to PhotoLab. In the meantime, we recommend using PhotoLab and Lightroom as separate standalone programs, using PhotoLab first on the original image files from your camera. Your patience and understanding are appreciated.

Thank you for contacting DxO Customer Support.

regards,

Yeah, that stinks. But DXO is on it, so I am confident that they will issue an update shortly.

You can revert back to the previous version Lightroom until DXO has a fix. Bring up Adobe Creative Cloud, select Lightroom Classic CC (click on down arrow, select "Other Verison". Since they will fix the problem for "PhotoLab, that means that those of us still using OpticsPro 11 will be forced to update. Dawn!!!!

Thanks baygolf for your suggestion. I think DxO will soon have a fix for this so until they do I'll probably just use PhotoLab as a stand alone program as DxO suppport has suggested. It's interesting to note that I can still export from PhotoLab to Lightroom with no problem.

The response and service from DXO (Photolab) is exemplary. I have no doubt that DXO will solve the issue.

Part of me wonders whether Adobe might be trying to throw some cold water on the competition (DXO)....
