A couple of cloud photos. Well, three photos from Colorado.
Very nicely done. In photo #1, I would like to have seen a little more of the scenery on the ground, like the rule of thirds - 1/3 ground and 2/3 sky.
Thank you, I really took that photo for a background photo so I didn't need scenery at ground level. The ground level would have been houses.
It's been some 40's years since my wife drove through Colorado from West to East. We have always felt Colorado had the most beautiful clouds we have ever seen. Your photos prove our thoughts were correct. What beautiful shots. Humorous side note: When I was around six years of age my older cousin David was visiting. It was very late dusk. He stated he could shoot the moon down with his bee bee gun. I, of course, said "No you can't!" He aimed the gun at the moon, fired, then said, "It will take a about a minute for the moon is far away." I stood beside him and waited. Then suddenly the moon was gone. I remember running in the house telling everyone that David shot down the moon. Young minds believe most anything they hear and even see. Honestly, many minds are the same regardless of age. Especially with the technology used today.
Well, we've now shot the moon but with something larger than a BB gun. I once entered a photo in a competition. It was taken in Colorado and there wasn't a cloud in the sky. I thought I had a winner. The judge said it was a nice photo but lacked clouds. A day in Colorado without clouds an unusual day for sure.
