Yesterday the garden had a goodly number of butterflies. Here a few examples shot with a Sony DSR-A65V using a Sigma 18-250 lens.
These shots are wonderful. Great sharpness and beautiful colors. Mother Nature is terrific.
I was in Steamboat Springs, CO last week and visited the Botanical Gardens. Had the chance to shoot this one:
You know ..,it seems more and more everyone is keen to do butterfly’s ..macro and simulated macro.. every other post has a butterfly ....and you know ...it’s a good thing .., cause shots like your have been added to the mix and are on a par with the best here on the Hog .. NICE SHOTS .., composition ..clarity and color ..who cares what camera and lens you used .. you are the photographer who had the expertise to get these guality shots ..

What a beautiful Butterfly series Richard...I loved them all
A nice selection of butterflies.
Looks as if some have be over-sharpened though.
All gorgeous photos Richard, great job on these. The blurred background bokeh are wonderful which make the butterflies really stand out.
