And the farmers are the ones who complain the most about others getting government welfare. My good friend here has had the increase in steel prices hit his small manufacturing business hard, yet I don't see the government coming to his rescue. Trump's supporters were touting the fact that wages are up 2.7%. They don't mention that inflation is running at 2.9%, completely wiping out the income gains. People are also in for a big hit this winter on heating costs. Fuel oil to jump 28% and liquid propane by 20%. That will all add to inflation as well. One sad thing is that half of our liquid propane is exported to other countries.
The worst is yet to come. Looking only at soybeans: the Chinese are rapidly developing connections with Argentina, Chile and Brazil to become a permanent and stable source of these beans so Americans farmers will be permanently out of the loop. Nice work DJT!
I have to say that in all of the political posts that I have read on this site these inputs have been a pleasure to read. Everyone has posted comments that show knowledge and professionalism that I have not seen before. Thank you all.
