It appears that most photographers I know like to travel to the same old places and take the same old shots. Over and over and over. Question: weren't the greatest photographers those who INNOVATED? Those who did something different or creative? C'mon folks. . .do something your own.

Maybe you should lead the way by showing us your innovative photos?

In defence of the ho-hum, how would you feel if I were to take one of your images to print and sell/give away? Would you rather I just go to the same old spot and join the others to make my own image to do as I wished?
Let us go to wonderful places, and record things for later times in our lives. Yea, it is the same as thousands of others, but I would not have to hack into their computers just to view their images. The images would be on my own computer. No hacking needed. Unless of course if I forgot my login password.

Thank you admin so much for the ignore button, one more added to my list
Booker, you say, "Most photographers I know..." Maybe you need new photographer friends?
But seriously, c'mon man! Show us the way, or just shut up.

Your point is well taken. However, perhaps your phraseology could be softened a bit. Thank you.
Would love to go to many different spots. Traveled a lot in days gone by but now I am in my nineties with health problems and am lucky to visit the same old nearby places and just try to improve on shooting some of the same old thing.
🤐🤐👎🍓wasn't sure if that last one is an actual raspberry but you have my response.

Some photographers look at a scene, take a picture and leave it alone. I look at a scene and think what do I want to accomplish, what do I want to do. The creative spark is stronger in some than in others.

No website listed in his profile nor any images posted on UHH. Wise words Bill, but I doubt we'll hear anymore from this pretender.

Another one bites the dust . . .
When it comes to photography, I need to continuously explore new ideas and themes, or I will get bored rather quickly. Shooting the same scenes over and over again... no, that is definitely not for me.
Reading the posts on this thread - some of you are just plain mean! UHH used to be a fairly friendly community when I signed up as a member years ago. Doesn't seem like that anymore. Especially the last few months.
