My first attempt at doing 23 images. I have done smaller panos but this is the biggest I have done.

EXcellent! When I saw your other painted hills thread, the first thing I thought about was making a trip up there for some panoramas... Looks great!

Great pano! I love doing panoramas—tricky devils to get right but definitely worth the effort. The colours and textures are superb. Well done!

This is really fabulous.
How long did it take 1). To shoot? 2). To stitch together?

It took longer to find the tutorial on how to merge the shots than anything else! I used a tripod and overlapped my shots by at least 1/4 in the vertical position. Only took several minutes to shoot. Photoshop CS5 has photomerge and all you do is add the shots and it does the rest! It took several minutes to do but sure beats the old way!

Also meant to add these pictures were taken free handed with a Canon 5D Mark ii with 100-400 is L lens. This is the first one I tried and didn't have any idea how to do it. Bee

Did you hold the camera in the vertical or horizontal position? You did a great job with it being handheld! My canvas size is 65 X 357 inchs. That would make a big print!I am going to have one printed up at Costco 24 X 72 just to see what it looks like.

shoot your pano's in vertical mode like you would for a portait so that they are so thin, try it and you will see what I mean. Otherwise a very nice shot.

tripods are good also for these shots just lets you make sure the camera is steady and gives you the sharpest image.
