I accidentally saw a link to this site from a sister site, and so happy I did. I am a simple pleasure-photo-taker using my phone but I am interested in learning more about the at form as well as better ways to use my phone's camera. I'm using an iPhone 6 but upgrading soon, probably to 8 or maybe I'll jump ship to an LG V30...comments anyone?

Welcome to the forum! I use an iPhone 7 frequently. I find the iPhone shots quite acceptable, and even have blown them up to 16 x 20 size without much loss of quality. Advantage is that I ALWAYS have the cell phone with me, and better to catch the shot with a lesser quality cell phone camera than miss it entirely because I don't have the 'real' camera at hand! Not sure how much difference there is between the iPhone 7 and 8, but both offer improvements over the iPhone 6.

Thanks for the info Treepusher. I'm leaning toward iPhone for other reasons but my partners LG V30 is taking some impressive shots.
