I prefer the black and white because the blue version looks unrealistic to me.

I'd select everything but the clouds and add a bit of contrast to the rest. At that point the difference between the two might be more distinct and the choice easier.

the first one...it "comes alive". Blue tones make me feel the cold, sunlit highlights remind me of early morning winter sun and accents the cold.
The black and white seems dull to me in comparison. Usually b&w reflects shading and tones dramatically, but in this case #1 does a better job with this.
