Waiting to switch to mirrorless? You can convert your DSLR to a mirrorless yourself
I think in a little over 24 hours nikon is releasing details of their new mirrorless camera, so far they have teased that you can use F mount lenses with it.
For the .... Who do not read all of it there is a little catch in there:
Warning: Don’t do this. If somehow you didn’t catch on, Rossi’s video is tongue-in-cheek and doing this on a working camera will result in a brick on your hands rather than an actual mirrorless camera.

To be fair, even though tongue in cheek, why mirrorless? If there are any positives they are pretty much the same as live view. Rolling shutter increased battery drain a delay while the optical image is converted into an electronic image. The replacement of air with electronics...
The only positive i can see is that lenses can be simpler in the 20 to 50mm range due to the shorter flange distance.
With m43 sure sensors are smaller which can make for lighter lenses aps viewfinders let through less light than full frame. So maybe boosting the viewfinder brightness with an evf is a positive. The viewfinder in my K1 is bright with different guides and indicators, its not just a ground glass screen. I do like my liveview when i choose to use it focus peaking lets me place the focus anywhere in the scene even with vintage lenses that are optically stabilised by the camera body...
I really can't see an advantage to mirrorless at all, you might not even see the scene as it was, when contrast and color are created in the evf.

No warning necessary. It is quite obvious that it is meant as a joke; even a 10 year old would get it.
