A suspect is in custody in connection with the death of Molly Tippett’s according to authorities.
The Iowa Division of Cr9minal investigation confirmed Tuesday during a news conference the Christian Bahena Riviera 24 is charged with first-degree murder.

Authorities confirm Riviera is an undocumented immigrant who is being held on a federal detailer.
The 20-year-old was last seen jogging July 18. Investigator said Rivera saw Tibbetts running and began running alongside her. Court documents said Tibbetts threaten to call police and that Rivera got mad and blocked his memory. Rivera told the police that the next thing he remembered was finding an ear piece from headphones in his lap and realizing the he had placed Tibbetts in his truck. Authority said surveillance video brought investigators to Rivera and Rivera brought investigators to Tibbetts body.
Governor Kim Reynolds issued a statement following the news conference that said in part as Iowans we are heartbroken and we are angry that a broken immigration system allowed of predator like this to live in our community and we will do all we can to bring justice to Molly’s k**ler.

Kudos to all who want open borders to allow scum like this into our country.

They have been in Montezuma for along time, I've driven by them, most recently about 2 years ago. They opened a retail store and warehouse in Grinnell, but they are still in Montezuma.
