Raynox250 lens

Have had difficult time focusing with the lens , I have a Nikon D5600 and use a70-300 af-p lens , has any used this Lens and how has it done with macro ?

I'm assuming you are focusing manually? Autofocus is hard to do shooting macro. Best to set your focal length and then move the camera back & forth to acquire focus. You may be very close to your subject and the depth of field will be minimal

I will try manual , does the apture and iso settings or does this still happen automatically? Thanks steve

Don't confuse auto focus with auto exposure control. Use any of the auto exposure modes; Program, Aperture, Shutter or Manual as you prefer, it has nothing to do with Manual Focus as far as camera controls go.

My initial thought is that if you are using the lens for "macro" type photography, you are too close to the subject. The lens has a minimum focal distance. You should be able to google the lens and get a spec sheet to see what it is. Try taking a half a step back and focusing....

The lens minimum focus distance will be impacted by the Raynox thus to look at the lens's minimum focus distance is irrelevant. Better to look at the spec sheet for the Raynox. I have a Raynox DCR-150 which is a bit less magnification than the 250...Trial & error will get you at the distance needed.
