In between rain storms yesterday I had to go try my new lens.

Looks like it can perform well if I can figure out how to optimize its use!

It is a great lens. I have one. I checked and your exposure was 1/400 sec, f/4.8, ISO 720. You want to be shooting at F8 or 11 if you want to improve the sharpness across the image.

I am sure you will get a lot of advice. For now, I will just recommend that you try to use manual focus and focus with a combo of the focus ring and physically moving back and forth.

Yes, good advice. I wanted to keep ISO as low as possible so went w the shallower DOF. Also I wanted to push a bigger F stop just to see what she could do ;-)

Thanks for looking and commenting.

Thanks Mark,
I came to that conclusion after giving AF a try here. I've been using the moving in/out method with my reversed lens setup so far. Was excited to see if AF would make focusing easier but it seemed to add as many problems as it solved.

Thanks for the suggestion.

Guy
