I had posted a landscape version of this photo earlier, but was not fully satisfied with it. I cropped this portrait version out the bigger photo. I'm happy with it now.

You certainly did a fine job on that !!!!!!

Great photo, beautiful color. It took me a moment to recognize the fishing. Guess I’ve been away from the Northwest too long!

Huh? It's a hummingbird. I'm in Pennsylvania.

Thank you. I worked hard to mix the flower into the photo. I have taken many photos like this, but they looked a bit flat to me. In this one I added the flower to the mix to give it layers of depth.

I'm about to leave for the store and get this one printed.

Patience and practice win out!!!!!! Excellent close-up: crisp, clear and rich in color. Great composition.

My opinion, for what it's worth is: you have every right to be pleased with this photo--it is beautiful. I really enjoyed seeing the background behind the hummingbird.

Thanks very much for sharing.

I would take out the upper left branch, and make all background branches out of focus. When I first looked at the picture I could not see the humming bird because of all of the distractions.

For what it's worth I happen to agree with you.

Better now? Thanks for your input.
