I know that this could be 100% better (the other feeder is in the way) but it was taken with my small Canon P&S on auto from a distance of about eight metres using the zoom and through a double paned window. It could have been worse but at least it shows the brilliant blue plumage on its wings. It's a very shy bird and when I saw it I just grabbed my camera and took the shot. Immediately it saw me it flew away.
I am gad that you caught it. I have never seen one of these. I have a lot of N. Am. Blue Jays though.
