Found these in a neighbor's yard. Cactus is not native to SE Arizona.

Very pretty flowers. May I suggest that you give this another try with fill-flash. Set your flash to about -1/2 to -1 stop to maintain the shadowing.
Thanks, I'll go back and try that this morning with my SLR. My morning walks are done with my dog and my cell phone but I couldn't not take those pictures.
Hey safeman the saguaros have been here for 12 to 14 thousand years. How native can you get?

How observant can you get. First, Saguaro blooming season is well past. Second, if you look at all closely at the flowers you will see they bear no resemblance to Saguaro blooms. Three, if you look closely you will see that the blooms come from the sides of the arms. Saguaro cacti bloom at the end of the arms. Four, Saguaro cacti typically have one large body and usually grow several arms. If you look closely you will see that this cactus has slender arms. I guess neither botany or observation are among your strong points
