Spent some time in my blind in the back yard. Very late, sun going down so had to use slow SS. I did get some good sharp images of birds at the feeders. But for some reason this one of a finch that took off just as I was pressing the shutter got my attention. Notice in the first picture that the holder is tack sharp but the bird came out an almost total blur with a few sharpish parts. I decided to process it as an "Art" shot. I ran it through LR, then PS w/NIK and back to LR for a final crop.
Not that it makes much difference:
80D, 100-400L mk II @ 200, 1/250 @ f/8.0, ISO 800 hand held @ 15' in sunset light at 7 PM
I was backed off to 200 because there were multiple finches on the shepherd's crook and feeder but they took off and I caught this last one as it left.
Love the "action" shot!

I like it a lot.
Thanks a lot.
It has taken me a long time to get where I can accept shots that are burred a lot by movement in anything but a humming bird-and then I will only accept blur in the wings.
Fun viewing shot, Robert.
