Thanks all of you who chatted with me about family wedding shoot in Cape Breton. The date has come and gone and, all-in-all, the couple and the photogs are happy with the results. The weather was really hot and humid with blazing sun which wasn't what we would have liked. But, a kindly neighbour contacted us the day before the wedding and offered us his beautiful piece of land overlooking the see - great vistas in every direction. We gratefully took advantage of his offer. Here a few of the photos.
Great set...thanks for sharing. I’m sure the newlyweds will appreciate your efforts😊
Thanks for commenting Dannj - much appreciated. I don't think many people look at this section so I'm very glad you did.

Nice set DebAnn .....
Solid exposures ....
Thanks so much Beercat! I've been wrestling with the calibration system on my screen but the controls don't allow me to get it as exact as Spyder4Elite suggests. Hopefully then, I can stop worrying too much. Blues seem to be the most problematic.

I usually preset the WB when it is cloudy. As long as your in RAW you can change but I find the camera presets are usually d close though I will push the temp to the high side. Another words in your set I would of set to cloudy and taken a good look at what I was getting. Does it match the actual scene? Sometimes it may appear a bit blue in which case I'll set the temp manually to be 250 - 500 above the cloudy preset. I prefer things to be a bit warmer thatn the camera wants to give sometimes,
Thanks for your feedback. I always shoot in RAW. I must admit I usually use the Auto white balance and check if one or the other WB options in LightRoom give me a better look. I too like a warmer look as a rule. The images I shot in the church were very warm due to the slight yellow tint in the windows. I kept the look in my images because I really liked the ambiance created. I've attached one of the shots.

Thanks so much for sharing DebAnn. Looks like a beautiful wedding, and I bet they are thrilled.
I agree with you, I prefer warmer. I might not have gone quite as warm on the inside, but that's why we all have our own styles.
Thanks bkyser. I find it hard to decide on colour casts when that's actually what the eye sees so, do I want reality or a revised version of it? I guess there's not a definitive answer,

exactly, but if we didn't all have our own vision, wouldn't life be boring? It's part of what dictates our style, and our style is why people choose us over someone else.
