I have the e-Mark 5 II and am totally in love with it. Bees in flight, landscapes, portraits— it does it all. The viewfinder shows me live view. High res, if on a tripod, is available up to 40mp. I had a Nikon I loved but the weight finally got to me on a long trip out west. I wasn’t using half my stuff, so I traded it all in when I got back. As to the green blob... never seen it. I paired the camera with the 14-150 II lens and 25mm 1.8 prime. Then added 75-150 and 35mm. I don’t miss my Nikon.

I also cast my lighten the load vote for the Sony A6000-A6500 series of cameras

M43 does not seem to have the following in the West as it does in the East.... Maybe because Asians are generally smaller with smaller hands and the format fits them well. A recent post I just read stated that on a visit to SE Asia the OP was surprised that M43 cameras seemed to be the most popular size seen on the street; about 3 to 1 over cell cams and way more than DSLRs. Colorful bodies in tan, Blue and white with coordinated straps are all the rage and folks like displaying them. Considering the potential growth market in this part of the world I find this interesting. I think the masses are getting something a step up from the cell cam and like making that " Fashion Statement " to boot.

Are you saying m 4/3 is a fashion statement?

Yes, I think that at a certain level a lot of young folks , esp. in other growing parts of the world, view the chic colored bodies of Olympus as a trendy thing... a step up from cell phones and they get to express themselves a little and get great quality photos without having to know a lot of technical stuff if the choose. Olympus seems to be playing to this market with their line of trendy accessories. I love to walk around with my white E-PL1 and get a lot of looks... glitz and glam bring more fun back to photography.

I had the same problem. I switched from Canon 7D and 70 D to Sony mirror-less.
For travel I use only one camera the DSC-RX10 IV (24 -600 mm with option to double digitally to 1200) it covers probably 90 % of my needs. I keep the Sony A6000 as backup with only the kit 2 lenses . The RX 10 iv is an amazing camera though not cheap. Only limitations are battery life (so I always carry 2 spares in my pocket just in case), and the menu system is pretty complex but powerful allowing lots of customization.

Lens size/weight is related to format size, NOT to mirrorless vs DSLR. FF lenses are the same weight regardless of camera type, as are APS as are M43, etc.

Check out the weight of the Sony 400/2.8 versus those from Nikon & Canon. It is a couple pounds lighter...

I agree, but it has nothing to do with the Sony being designed for a mirrorless body. This lens is unique in that it was specifically designed for light weight, and is quite expensive -12K$ ( compared to the Canon’s 10K$). Look instead at lenses that the average user is more likely to purchase such as the 70-200 f2.8 or the 100-400mm from both manufacturers, and you’ll see that the weights are nearly identical.
