You never can tell Randy what is to be found in another country . New Zealand is quite an old fashioned place and tends to lag behind the rest of the world except in techo stuff and people also hang on to stuff longer as it generally speaking was very expensive to aquire with us being so far away from anywhere else. I will be keeping my eyes open just in case
If you ever get a chance to aquire a DeVere 504 go for it. I have used pretty much every enlarger used in England, Including the most used ones professionally but never found any that came close to the DeVere.

I have never used an enlarger but was really interested in your topic on using one for macro photography. Not sure how I would go about it with being so uneducated.Probably better for me to keep away from this method I think.
Well Ian I must say it the 504 sure is a butte. The closes I got to color was a Besler 23C a buddy of mine had one it was wonderful for the 35mm stuff I did back then always wanted one just could not afford it. But if I ever see one used I will purchase it for sure. I still love FILM from time to time. Well I guess I'll go shoot a few pics today on my walk. Thanks for showing you photos of the 504 DeVere
