A couple of nits: Confederate money is American money (but not US currency) and, to a collector, genuine Confederate money may be worth more than US currency.

On the topic of “snobbery”. It’s inherent in every hobby or interest where there are many options and many strong opinions. In other words, EVERY hobby and interest. There are purists in support of almost any brand, method, or means, often in direct contradiction of each other (See: Nikon vs. Canon, Which is better?). I’m sure there’s a purist somewhere who doesn’t think you’re fully “manual” unless you formulate your own emulsion and coat your own plates and films.

We all need to chillax a little and remember that in most things, intelligent people, in possession of whatever facts they may have, may reasonably disagree.

Now who knows all the verses of Kumbayah?
