Very appealing shots, Angela. What is the intended advantage of this particular lens compared to your other Lens Baby lenses?

Thanks Carl, glad you liked! Sol 45 is a 45mm fixed f/3.5 selective focus lens that creates a tack-sharp circular area of focus surrounded by smooth blur or bold bokeh. You just choose what you want to emphasize in the frame and tilt the lens.... plus, this is it's own lens, you don't need a Composer Pro or any other attachment to use it... and it's inexpensive, compared to other optics! Light weight and very fun to use... there are so many Lensbaby addicts out there that I know have added this to their collection already, so when I saw the results, I caved!

The second image is a Gallery image. Outstanding. Are you sending out an announcement and reception for the Newest Baby in your family. I hope I get an invitation.

Have fun with your new addition. Do you use the center-locking feature that will lock the lens into place for dead-center focus?.

Sound like a winner and your results certainly indicate that!

Stan, sorry, but I don't think I'll be sending out announcements.... people think I'm crazy as it is for having so many 'children', but this one is a winner and I would highly recommend it to people who want to get their toes wet in the Lensbaby world!! It's small, no other attachment needed and it's pretty cheap compared to the other optics!! Tilting the lens is much easier on this than on the Edge 50 or just bending the neck on the Composer Pro, which is a plus..... and I do lock it if I shoot dead center....
Thank you for your lovely comment and maybe, just maybe... you will consider this little one!!!!

Awesome set, Angela. I don't think they make a Nikon mount, so I'm out I guess.

Beautiful work with the newest addition to your LB family, Angela!! All lovely, but I especially like the first. The translucent leaves remind me of stained glass!!

Last thing I saw you were not going to buy this one but I'm glad you did, think I like this best of all of them, It's appears to be sharp unlike your others, Like Donna I like that first shot, can't wait to see more from this lens.

Did you pull in those arms in front of the lens in any of these shots? Did you tilt it any?

When I saw all the wonderful work being done with this lens, I caved!! Sounds like you looked into the Sol 45 features with it's tilt mount and movable blades... I don't think I tilted any of these, but I was playing around with the blades... but I don't remember what's what, just that I love it!
Thanks for your comment, Johnny... glad you liked!
