Went back in time last weekend. These reenactors did a nice job and I can only imagine the horrors of being caught up in that war. Interesting that the battle was over, people were leaving, but there was a glimpse into women's role in the war on the battlefield.

Thanks Bill! It was hard getting vantage points and really couldn't see my screen in the bright sun so wasn't expecting much, but I am pretty happy with what I got. Originally, I was trying to time the darn cannon so I could get fire and smoke but then gravitated to more battlefield expressions. Not sure if that is an appropriate description. Just made it up :)

Excellent shots! I found that last week at the Remagen event that I got many more facial images than combat shots featuring vehicles. Turned out they were more interesting.

I will be in the real Gettysburg in September so I'll see what I can get in the second attempt. Very nice photos on Flickr!
