I use the sigma 10-20. 1:3.5DC HSM on my d7200 and love it.

I have this one too. I was so happy with it that I got the 12-24mm for my FF.

Have read all the skinny on these 2 lenses.Tamron 17-35m f/2.8 Di OSD..Tamron SSP 24-70mm f/2.8 Di VC USD G2. Have not rented either..just want a wide angle in my bag...in case of emergency..I have none. Shooting with Nikon D7200. No particular reason I'm getting one...just want one.. I'm sure someone will tell me The good The Bad and The Ugly..so fire away..

You can save yourself some money and have a greater zoom range with the Sigma 17-70 2.8-4 - just not 2.8 all the way.

Tamron 10-24 mm F3.5/4.5 Di II VC HLD terrific lens. Latest review better than Tokina 11-16 mm.
$499 at B&H but I got for $399 with warranty from a Canada dealer.

Lots of good recommendations for FF cameras, but he's looking for a super wide angle for an APS-C body. So, he's going to lose a lot of what I think he is looking for in a super wide angle for a FF body. I just recently went through this when looking for a super wide angle for my D7200. That and the excellent reviews and price were why I ended up buying the Nikkor P 10-20.

I’ve had the Nikon 10-20 for about 6 months . It has been great. Without doubt it has to do be one of the best values out there. May I suggest anyone interested buy from Nikon, look for a sale and check out the refurbished ones.

I use a D7200 also. My go to wide angle lens is the Tokina 12-28. It has taken some awesome photographs, but at f4 some would find it prohibitively slow. What's nice is at $429 it doesn't break your wallet.

Of the 2 choices you offered, due to the crop factor choose the wider one.

There are many others to pick from. I happen to have the Nikkor AF-S 12-24mm f/4 DX which works well on my D7200.

Hi,
I have a 7200, the Nikon 10-20mm, and the Sigma 17-50mm. if I were as capable as this equipment I'd be taking some great pictures. Either one with the 7200 gives lots of potential for some real creative photos.
Best of luck in your choice and future photography!
