It was not as bad as we expected. If you bundle up, 3 layers, but the MAIN thing, is HOT HANDS in your SOCKS!!! We saw some spectacular aurora!!! They were 'dancing' (moving around, quite fast). Spent 5 nights in Coldfoot. I had been watching the weather forecast for the previous 2 weeks. Good thing, the week before we went to Coldfoot, the temps got to -50, and cloudy... so no auroa for that time frame. I saw the forecast much improved the next week, and made my reservations. The winter rates are significantly less for hotels in the winter months! The tour north of Coldfoot, sit next to the driver! ALL of the rear windows froze over. I used a Hot Hands to keep a peep hole for many of my photos there.
