The two HDR pictures were taken last evening over a two hour time period. The first is a three image set =+2, -2, and normal exposure of view of the golf course with an extinct volcano in the background (Mt. Si) The weather was definitely overcast. The second one is a little later when the sun had broken through the clouds and spotlighted the mountain. The third is a 6 shot HDR panorama taken from approximately the same place of the sunset afterglow reflected off the mountain. Initial processing was Raw to NIK HDR Eflex Pro, Photoshop CS6 for the stitching and final edit on all three. I did not show the base images as they are in Raw format which I process directly with the NIK program.

Just beautiful, you did a great job. I'm getting jelous of all the beautiful places everyone has to take pictures, I guess I'll have to get out of town more often.

Thanks MadMike for the compliment. The pictures made up for a lousy dinner and talking to folks that I don't know. The place is less than 15 miles from our house so I have a number of pictures of the mountain.

Just a super set of Hdr, great work.
Swede, those are fantastic!

I like the pictures. HDR at least gives a good pic considering how bland the sky can be.
Had to smile - I pretty well know where the photos were taken from. Its prob within ... um ... maybe 10 min from where we lived for 9 yrs. Moved last summer.
You prob know all this already, but some good spots for photos are -
Train station in N Bend .... good for HDR and using tracks as "vanishing point"
old train cars in Sno - HDR brings out the character of some of the rusted engines and cars
dog park by high school - good view of Mt Si for HDR, also bird photos - gold finch, osprey, and even saw a great blue heron once in the river right by the bridge to the park
Maybe I'll have to look thru my photo archive on the ext HD for pics I took last yr.

Thanks for the compliment! It's pretty hard to take a bad picture of such a good view.

Nice catch. I used to pass through North Bend often and Mt. Si was a landmark I remember well.

Thanks for the compliments. It was one of those unique times when everything came together at the right time. I get the feeling that you are a little homesick. People who get used to that view have withdrawal afterward. My wife is from North Bend and after about 10 years still has longing for the mountain. Your list is pretty complete, but you missed Snoqualmie Falls. That is another excellent place. I hadn't thought of trying the old trains. One problem is that they are pretty well encased in fencing if my memory serves me correctly. I'll post another couple of fall pictures of the mountain. I'm sure you will recognize where I took these. These even have some clouds in them.

Those last three panos are stunning. Very nice work.

Thank you for the compliment. When you do panos in HDR it gets a little interesting. I like the challenge of merging anywhere from 6 to 48 or more photos that work together and match.
