Evidently this rumor has been circulating on the Internet! It would seem to have the potential to swing the election one way or the other if found to have credibility!
Rumor: Mitt Romney, as many folks know, is a Mormon and someone leaked that if he wins the Presidency, one of his first Executive Orders would be to legitimize the practice of Polygamy throughout the land! The irony of this of course is that if voters believe this rumor to be true, more than likely you will see all the left wing liberal Democrats voting for Romney, and all the born again Christian religious right wing Republicans voting for Obama! What an exciting election coming up! ;)
I hope rumors don't ruin the internet, it would be a shame.
People who start and spread rumors have an agenda. I've been married twice, I guess in some groups that would make me a Poligamist? I know a lady that was married 7 times, maybe it would work both ways? OKAY, I'll stop, just wish people would get FACTS and not RUMORS.

OK MadMike, then in your case I guess the question would be were you married twice at the same time to two different women? Does that help clarify polygamy for you?
What have you been smokin'....;0) I'd never vote for Obama, didn't the first time either.
Mike
Voting Obama back in would be like backing up the Titanic and hitting the iceberg again!
Holy smokes...this is pathetic.
Can we just take a chill pill?
PS: THIS right wing born-again Christian would vote for Romney anyway. ;)

As a mormon, I can assure you that this is absolute rubbish. The church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints (mormon) outlawed polygamy over 100 years ago. Any member of the church who advocates or practices polygamy faces removal from the church. Those who practice polygamy who are incorrectly labelled mormons by the media are not and in most cases never have been members of the legitimate Mormon church.
I think MadMike was referring to the fact some groups do not recognize divorce as a way to end a marriage. This would, in their eyes, lead to being married to more than 1 person at the same time.

This is just like the Kennedy election - "If you elect Kennedy, the Pope will be running the country". Only an idiot would listen to this type of stupidity.

I won't vote for ether one, take your pick you will get the same result. Just another case of picking the lesser of two evils, and we don't pick the evils. I for one am done voting for evil
