Anti-r****t protesters in Charlottesville angered by heightened police presence, r**t gear:

Anti-r****t protesters staging non-violent demonstrations in Charlottesville, Virginia, Saturday said they were aggravated and perplexed by the heightened police presence that involved dozens of law enforcement officers in r**t gear.

The nearly 200 protesters were gathered to march against w***e s*******y almost one year after a white nationalist rally in Charlottesville turned violent, resulting in the death of local resident, Heather Heyer.

On Saturday, hundreds of police officers surrounded Charlottesville's downtown area throughout the day in order to preclude any violent outbursts, according to multiple reports. Though there were no white nationalist events scheduled, many feared a repeat of last year, when authorities were blasted for being underprepared for the violence that broke out.

According to The Washington Post and Associated Press reports, the nighttime protesters mobilized against the police presence, which some described as aggressive and which some compared to last year's w***e s*********ts.

"Last year they came with torches,” said a large banner in downtown Charlottesville, according to the Washington Post. “This year they come with badges.”

Videos from the march show police in neon r**t gear flanking peaceful protesters on all sides as they march through the streets.

"Cops and Klan go hand in hand," Kibiriti Majuto, a coordinator for the University of Virginia's UVA Students United, told the AP.

An independent investigation by a former federal prosecutor of last year's rally determined the violence got out of hand, in part, because law enforcement was overly passive and uncoordinated.

“I see a disproportionality,” Lisa Woolfork, a UVA professor, told the Post. “Unless there is something they’re not telling us and have some intelligence that the white nationalists will still march in force, it seems like who they’re gearing up to monitor and observe and contain and discipline are those of us who want to resist f*****m and r****m.”

Activists reportedly began chanting, "Why are you in r**t gear? We don't see no r**t here."

Earlier Saturday, UVA's student newspaper, The Cavalier Daily, reported that up to 300 National Guard troops and more than 700 Virginia State troopers were set to be housed in part in UVA's campus housing.

Hundreds of white nationalists are set to host "Unite the Right 2" in Washington, D.C., on Sunday evening, one year after the rally in Charlottesville. Opponents have organized counter-protests in the city throughout the day and are expected to come face-to-face with w***e s*********t groups outside the White House on Sunday evening.

D.C. police, as well as D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser, have stated multiple times that law enforcement will be out in full force in order to keep the dueling protest groups separate and to prevent any potential violence.

A legacy of the Vietnam War/Hippie protests of the 60's, demonstrations from liberal groups have generally attracted more attention of law enforcement than those by conservative groups. (As the liberal groups tend to be more racially diverse, you can chalk that up to "White Privilege" )

"liberal groups have generally attracted more attention of law enforcement" because they are historically more violent than Conservative groups, Jesse the more attraction of Law Enforcement.

I was under the impression that no permits had been issued for any gathering or parade, to keep the two groups out of each other's faces. Which would mean that the protestors were an illegal gathering, therefore subject to arrest. The reason for the large law enforcement presence was that a major complaint last year was the absence of such a presence.

That's ONE group. Which has only existed for a few years. Your statement was " they are historically more violent than Conservative groups,".

Violent conservative groups include:

The Army of God and other anti-a******n group
Aryan Nations
The Covenant, The Sword, and the Arm of the Lord
The Ku Klux Klan
The Order

and let's not forget that the worst d******c t*******t attack on record, the Oklahoma City bombing, was committed by people pursuing a conservative anti-government agenda.

LOL nobody even knows who those groups are with the exception of the KKK, those groups must not be too relevant or active in violent acts such as left wing groups A****a and B*M. Let's not forget Congressional baseball shooter James Hodgkison.

United States Edit
Modern left-wing terrorist groups in the United States developed from remnants of the Weather Underground and extremist elements of the Students for a Democratic Society. Between 1973 and 1975, the Symbionese Liberation Army was active, committing bank robberies, murders, and other acts of violence. Most notably, the group kidnapped heiress Patty Hearst.[11] During the 1980s, both the May 19th C*******t Organization (M19CO) and the smaller United Freedom Front were active. A 1994 study found "the actual number of acts of terrorism committed by left-wing groups accounted for about three-fourths of all officially designated acts of domestic terrorism in America. About half of these l*****t acts were committed by Puerto Rican groups, while the rest were committed by traditional l*****t terrorist groups like M19CO".[12] After 1985, following the dismantling of both groups, one source reports there were no confirmed acts of left-wing terrorism by similar groups.[13]

Incidents of left-wing terrorism dropped off at the end of the Cold War (circa 1989), partly due to the loss of support for c*******m.[14]

Since you went there let us not forget Obama's favorite, the Weather Underground, then we had the Black Panthers, it would seem that you have forgotten that the Klan was a l*****t organization belonging to the democrat party, even some of your most famous politicians were members, Hugo Black, Robert Byrd...

Exactly how is the Weather Underground "Obama's favorite"?

The Black Panthers were never violent --- they were just scary black people, so white people considered them terrorists.

And, while the KKK may have been formed from Democrats 150 years ago, they were never "l*****t".

Don't forget Bernadine Dorn and her murderous husband Bill Ayers.
