Nikon has posted videos prior to the August 23 announcement of their mirrorless cameras

Nikon has posted a couple of videos with information about their upcoming mirrorless camera announcement. In the video of the lens mount, you can see one of the cameras (although dark) and the lens mount. The mount looks to be larger in diameter than the current F-mount. They will be releasing an adapter so that some of the current F-mount lenses can be used - probably only AF-S type lenses since there is no screw drive.

In the web page, click the left arrow at the bottom to scroll over to the lens mount video.

As usual Nikon is over hyping the new camera and the fan boys are eating it up.

I rarely if ever buy the first year a new product is released so they can work out the inevitable bugs. In the mean time, I'm hoping for a price drop on current gear. So, my enthusiasm level is tepid.

I purchased a D850 within 1 week of the beginning of delivery, and have had zero problems.
