This is one of General Motors' Aerotrains, built around 1955. It's on display at the Green Bay, WI Railroad Museum. I don't know if it's in running condition or not.

Yes, definitely unusual, bordering on just plain ugly, but still an interesting try for GM. I'm not certain about the mechanicals, but being a GM I would expect them to be fairly standard for the day.

Thanks John. Actually, there were a lot of small rust spots that I tediously PS'd out that should have be fairly easy to fix on the locomotive.
