Mount Rushmore...
Very nice shots, been there many times. Where you on the road where you can take a picture of Washington from the side? Did you go to Deadwood and Hill City? Many things to see there. Did you drive the needles road?

Just excellent captures. Well done!
Thanks for taking us there in grand fashion!

Interesting...why? We loved the carving but the place was an expensive tourist trap. The Crazy Horse was very interesting and much more educational.
Expensive? Tourist Trap? You must be confusing Rushmore and Crazy Horse?
There is no entrance fee at Rushmore and they don’t force you into the shop.
I did object to paying $10 to park at Rushmore (understand now $11 and good for a year) and not honoring my senior pass. But it was the principle and not the amount.
Excellent! I was there in 2009 and enjoyed your presentation--brought back some memories. I have my own photos of it, of course, but I always like to see how others perceive things. I tried to see it again last September, but it was shrouded in fog.
WOW!!WOW!! - fantastic set James.

I always enjoy your work James but this is an exceptional set. As Carol said, you really nailed the exposure on the rocks which for me is the subject matter here. Perfect handling of strong light. The clarity, composition and processing truly honor this interesting place. Very fine work! Bookmarked

Thanks a bunch everyone, appreciate all the comments and visits. I kind of got sidelined with a arthritis flair up. Painful, but nothing I haven't lived through before. I'm not much of a commenter anyway, but I do appreciate those who enjoy my stuff.

I liked their SGT. Pepper album even though it took me some time to absorb it. I did not care for the White album at all. Nice photos though.
Classic Tom...big smiles in Tennessee, love your humor my friend. Is it Raw of is it Jpeg, only the shadow knows.
Am I the only one to see the monkey face on the left side of Washington? It's smaller but on the same level.
