Thank you. These photos were actually taken a while ago. I plan to post some other photos to highlight areas not widely known to be in Georgia.
Dean, will Cloudland Canyon be among them? I am hoping to get down to GA this Fall and explore both canyons and Brasstown Bald.
Good photography, pleasure for the eyes, denfl!
Thank you for sharing!
You are correct about downloading. Georgia dirt never looked better!

I have been to Brasstown Bald but not Cloudland Canyon. Pictures of Cloudland do look interesting. Iโll probably check it out at some point. Thanks for the question. I keep trying to decide where to go next. I can do a post on Brasstown Bald.
Beautiful shots Dean! This place used to be way more beautiful about 30-40 years ago before all the trees grew up from the bottom and hid a lot of the view and much of the tall peaks have eroded away since then from all those years of rain. Wish you could have seen it back then.
There are actually several canyons nearby in that area that are on private property that are similar to this. I used to ride motorcycles in that area almost every weekend back in the 70s and 80s and some of the trails went down in these canyons. It was a major challenge riding back up some of those hills.

Please try the download. I canโt believe how much better the download versions are.
beautiful downloads, dean! i have passed it a few times but didn't get a chance to stop...
i'm going to put it on my list. i'm probably about an hour and a half drive from it
Great series Dean. Your images indicate a massive runoff. This happened over what period of time, how many years?

Thank you, Don. According to Wikipedia, the first heavy influx of settlers was in 1825. Evidence of the existence of the canyons is their mention in a deed recorded in 1836.
you are so very fortunate ๐๐๐
A nice set particularly the last two with the slightly menacing sky.
