Hi UHHers,
I am considering buying an electronic trigger for my camera for various types of exposures and applications- HDR, long exposure, time lapse etc and wondering what your experiences are with the "spark", "pluto" or any other brand. I am looking for ease of use, price, and versatility. I have three cameras that I will use these with: 1) Sony A7 iii, 2) Nikon D750 and 3) Nikon D5000. Look forward to your suggestions! Thanks.

I have been looking at the "Pluto" however have not pulled the trigger yet. I do read with interest in their ads that you will need to purchase a cord for each "type" of camera you plan on using it.

I realize the cable issue but they have reduced the price for cable from $ 10 to $ 5.

I have used Yongnuo for some time. They are simple, cheap, and efficient.

I prefer MIOPS - it has all the functionality I want and is easy to use. It is not the cheapest out there but the quality of the one I have is excellent.

Get the Vello Shutterboss for a wired solution. I've seen users with Bluetooth remotes explode in frustration with comm problems.

I use Pluto not had a problem with it. Yes, you do need the right cable for the camera. Pluto ships with one cable

I have a Pixel TW-283 that has a lot of capabilities. http://www.pixelhk.com/products/show/148 It comes with one cable based upon the version you select, and you will need to purchase additional cables for other brands of cameras.

I am a Canon 80D person but my local camera store directed me to simply download to my iPhone and use a Canon app for this purpose. They were very helpful in setting everything up and demonstrating how it worked. Surely Nikon has a similar app.

I started with a cheap wireless remote that was ok for about 30 feet. After joining this group, I signed up for the daily B&H offerings. I heard about Vello for Nikons but jumped at a $49.00 offering of FP flashpoint wave commander. 2.4 GHz and 325 foot range, 4 channel, time delay for 100 hours, exposure time up to 100 hours. As a hobbist, it was what I was willing to spend. Keep looking.
