Changing of the guard.
On a recent trip to Washington DC I visited Arlington National Cemetery. Was so impressed at the reverence and honor directed to the unknown soldier. The changing of the guard made me so impressed with our military personal. Thank you veterans for your dedication and service in protecting our country. This picture shows the military's dedication to their service.

👍👍👍
Started out with M14’s in USMC boot camp in 1964 then went to M1’s in ITR. Then to school. Never actually issued an M16 but shot them a bit. As a door gunner we first used the M60 and then went to the Browning M2.

1964 (timing is EVERYTHING) -- That's the year I got out of the Marine Corps --- We started with M1's then switched to M14 --- Loved my M14
Almost forgot -- That DAMN 20lb BAR plus ammo --- Not my favorite since my Mom had small children

Semper Fi my brother.
With the M14 I tied the range record at Parris Island. Great rifle.

Just a point of clarification. It is the Unknowns because there are three Unknowns buried there, World War I, World War II and Korea War. There was a fourth Unknown from the Vietnam War, but he was identified after his internment and removed.
