Nice story of a fun day.
I'm glad you enjoyed it, Gary. Thank you for commenting!
If we just sat and vegetated, we'd miss all that's around us... that some people don't even see!!
Nice set, Merry... and good eye on the tree spirit!!!
Walking and exploring a place as you have seen brings many photographic opportunities. Many times we walk and explore a new place to return when the light is more favorable to take photographs.
I found those images very interesting with a pretty good visual design but in my case I have kept the habit of not placing my subjects in the center of the frame.

thank you for your comment, angela! there are 7 tree spirits on public property at st. simon's
and I found 6 of them. the rest are on private properties. I got a map at the visitor's center,
so it was pretty easy to find them.

unfortunately I had to drop my husband off at the golf course each day, so I missed seeing things in the early morning or late afternoon
light. if only we could take 2 cars on our trips...I could get out much earlier...lol. thank you for your comment, camerapapi...I appreciate it and your
suggestions!
Thank you for the thumbups, skiextreme!!
Really good variety.
My favorites are the lighthouse and the beach scene.
