We should sleep extra well tonight knowing the media has our back.
The media is in it for the dollar, anything to generate a buck and drive up the ratings. News is not supposed to be conflated with opinion.
Amendment I. Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
The press is one of the pillars of a free society. So yes, they do defend the nation just as the military does.

You are right. That is the first amendment. Some media outlets use the 1st amendment to nullify the past e******ns, expunge the 2nd amendment and divide the country. Is that how the military works also?
Military personnel leave their homes and families, often travel to foreign lands, put their lives on the line and often return to their wives and children who are a year older.
Is that a description of the news media?
Please tell me how one can compare the military and the news media and come to the conclusion that they are both the same.
You just go ahead and believe that lying sack of s**t in the white house and watch him divide the country.
A moment's thought will reveal that both the military and the FREE press are protecting our freedoms, but in different ways. While those in the military enlist aware of the risks to life and limb, news personnel have not, at least in the past, needed to evaluate the dangers they may encounter, except in the case of war correspondents. Mr Trump's careless and unhinged comments and insults against the press seem likely to make domestic news reporting as dangerous as war corresponding as he continues to play on the baser emotions of his audiences.

George, you have to be kidding! Jim Acosta's news (?) reporting is as dangerous as going on patrol in and around Dong Ha, Vietnam Nam! What color is the sky in your world. The war correspondents wouldn't evan go on those patrols.
91% of Acosta's reporting is anti President Trump. He tried to bully the White House Press Secretary, whose job it is to report what the President says and not her own opinions.
If you want to nullify the e******n process, do it but be ready when that bites you in the ass because turnabout is fair play.

Please reread my post, especially the last two sentences. Mr Trump seems bent on roiling emotions against a free press, unless that "free" press toadies to his preferences, a la Sean Hannity, a boot-licker of the first water.
In 1967, hippies met us at the airport and spit on the returning Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines. We took it. Today they are met by a****a. The a****a f*****ts are now physically attacking, burning businesses and cars all because they don't like the outcome of the e******ns. I am not certain that I have any more cheeks to turn.

How many young men were drafted?
How many news opionairs have we lost in the line of duty?

Another reasoned, well thought out, and mature response from a person suffering with 'Trump Derangement Syndrome'!

You attack Hannity because he has a different opinion than you? Can you say hypocrisy?
I disagree with your opinion but I will fight for your right to have one. I won't burn your business or your car.
