Yet another attempt at Mars as it starts to race away

Viewing was less than stellar last night pun intended..
Mars looked like a water balloon with the jiggles but not overly so.
Celestron C8 SCT tracking with the CGEM tripod.
Shot with the Celestron 236C color CMOS
Stacked with AutoStakkert!2 version 2.6.8
Wavelets in Registax6
Final tweaks in Photoshop CC
Better I think than my previous attempts.

Some reasonable detail (of the dust storm) and a polar ice cap.

Hoping to get another shot at Mars if cloud and smoke dissipate a bit...

I just can't get over the detail you pulled through that storm it's got going on Jim , I'm glad that somebody is getting some imaging in , the East we're in the muggy buggy season with heat storms. I'm praying to the weather gods for a cool front so I can at least get something on Mars or Saturn this year. I was blessed with only a night that I gathered any data on Jupiter and I new it was going to be worth a HOOT !

Thank you very much.
I wish I could get a better focus on this but as they say, it is what it is.
Between wind and monsoon moisture in the air, its been less than ideal and then Mars had to throw a dust tantrum.

Thank you very much.
I have been dodging wind and rain trying my best and shooting when I get a chance.
It seems that whenever the skies decide to play nice, I have to work.
I have a thunderstorm rolling in on me as I type.
So much for tonight.

Jim , that's the story of my life. Every day is clear as glass but, here come the clouds and heat storms around 5 pm. I too setup and sit and wait for an opportunity to catch a photon or two. I hope the improves for ya.
