These pictures were taken at different times of the day. Both were in low light conditions. I did not have a tripod with me on this trip so I steadied myself the best I could on the railing of the deck steps.

No it is a statue. All week long the grandchildren kept trying to catch it move. It wasn't until later on during the week that we realized it wasn't a real owl. I think I remember reading about the significance of the statue at one time but I can't remember what it was. I am researching to find the answer.
