I need to find a good, reasonable priced printer (inkjet or laser) for home/office use. It also needs to be all purpose and suggested places to purchase.
Thank you, SubVet

The Canon TS9020 was replaced by the TS9120... minor change.... minor. The TS9020 sold by Adorama for $50 including shipping. Key is that the after market ink cart sets are very low cost. $20 full set. Remember, INK is the key to cost of printing. I am very well pleased with my printer. Canon is less pron to stoppage than Epson... not my opinion, tho i find it true, low pluggage is documented in studies.

Amazon 9120 is $90.... the 9020 price is up... I got at the time when they were clearing the shelves. the 9120 is also excellent.

Not exactly sure what your needs are, but I have a Canon MX920 inkjet that I bought at Best Buy a year and a half ago.
But they probably have cycled out this particular model as all manufacturers models seem to change every six months or so.
Works very nicely. As with all, ink pricey.
The document feeder lets me scan docs to PDF in full or half-duplex.
Flatbed scanning also. FAX works fine. Did not get the WIFI version.
Two trays (I have one tray as 4x6 photo paper, the other at 8x10 paper. It will take an 8x12 also. Probably can set the second tray for 5x7.)

I use an 'all in one' for my needs because I never print anything but 4x6 & 8x10's. Went through an Epson and an HP in a 2 year period. Then 3-4 years ago I got a Canon 5420 and it's still working perfectly. Whatever you get, make sure it says CANON on the face plate! Just my opinion.

The MG 5420 has been discontinued and upgraded;

I have a canon TS9020 from Amazon, and I always use LD Inks because the quality is equal and the price is half or less, I love the colors on the canon printer.

When the printer cost is a small fraction of the printing cost, you can afford to upgrade when new features are added.

Boat sailor, eh. what boat(s)?

Please be more specific as I don't see anything in the post about quality of photos, but you posted on a photography forum. Most any of the better brands of all in one printers will fill your request as stated. I have bought Canon, Epson, and hp printers over the years and all of them work just fine for office work and occasional photos. You can get them for about $100 (as they make their money on ink) and they do fine for printing smart phone pics. If its mainly used for office work, look for one with faster print speeds, a scanner and the connectivity you want, i.e., wireless and works with iphones. They all have 4 ink cartridges, YMCK. If you are looking for a photo printer that can do office work then the number of ink cartridges go up, you want between 6 up to 8 with a scanner and the connectivity you want. You can get them for $200 or a little more. For example, look at the Epson Expression XP-8500, which is a 6 ink cartridge printer using Epson's new Claria inks, which are dye based and don't clog the way Epson's older pigment based inks are known for. Canon photo printers had archival dye based inks before Epson, so Canon printers are very popular with photographers and you see some recommendations in other responses to your post.

Thanks for everyone's replies and suggestions. My printing of pictures as well documents will increase in the coming weeks and months. I have an HP 8610 that has seen better days and time to get a replacement. I just got the OK from the VA after my 2nd back surgery to start living again but with care. I mostly take pictures of flowers, animals, birds, sun rise, sun set, lighting and when possible NAVY Blue Angels air shows (with a few Marine aircraft thrown in) and valuables in homes for fire, burglary, disaster proof of ownership. Recently I added the D850 with a few lens to my D7200 equipment. Now I have to go out and pay for it. I have researched the new dye based inks and think I should move in that direction for in house printing and Sam's/Costco for larger prints.
Again, thanks to all.

I have the Canon Pixma MX922, I assume a later version of the 920 mentioned above. Since it is an all in one printer I didn't expect very high quality photos but have been pleasantly surprised. I've not had any sort of problem with it. Last I knew these were available from Amazon and most any other retailer that carries Canon printers, current Amazon price $69.99 with free delivery.

Adorama has the cannon pro 100 for $369 with a $250 rebate and a pack of 50 sheets of photo paper included. This brings the price down to $119. Free shipping. I realize this is not an all in one printer. Just thought someone may be interested in this deal. It is on until end of August 2018.

I had an Epson r200 for several years, did well. Now I’ve got an HP all in one, scans, prints full paper and holds 4x6 or 5x7 in a second tray and autosenses what you’re printing and pulls from the correct tray. Kinda handy. I just keep both bins stocked

I have the Canon TS9020 that others have mentioned and I love it. Its a bit particular as you must use the rear tray for all photo paper and reregister the size and paper as you change it,
but it works for me. I've had great luck with Arthur Imaging inks in place of the Canon. Amazon has the cartridges, but the last I looked they did not include the gray. You can order a set direct
from Arthur at: https://arthurimaging.com/products/arthur-imaging-compatible-ink-cartridge-replacement-for-canon-pgi-270xl-cli-271xl-1-large-black-1-s…

The last time I looked it was $19.95. I generally buy a couple of sets at a time/

Good luck with your purchase.

PS it only allows a few sheets at a time if thats a concern.

Any printer on the market today will work for you. But refill ink is what cost you. Before I buy any printer I go on ebay for the cost of the ink. I use Cannon and HP. Also use Red River paper, I'm a event photographer.

Has anyone had any experience with the Epson printers that have the refillable ink tanks?
