Welcome to the forum. You'll find plenty of help here. I like your shot, my only suggestion is to work on the Rule of Thirds by moving the main splashing wave a little to the left. Good luck and enjoy this site.

Yes, the rule of thirds would be good. You can rescue the shot by cropping.

I think I said to crop it in the wrong direction but you got what I meant and cropped it the right way. It looks great now. Nice job.

Melissa there are plenty of us out there willing to help newbies out. We all started out as newbies and are grateful for all the help we had and are happy to pass it on. Good luck, you'll do fine, just hang in there and shoot, shoot, shoot, and you will soon notice how much you will improve.
