I've been following these discussions for a while now and have a humble suggestion for everyone who posts a question, whether it is about bodies, lenses, printers, whatever. Whenever you ask a question briefly indicate WHY you are shooting. For example: rank beginner, just want to take great pix to amaze my friends and relatives, just breaking in to stock photo sales, experienced pro. Also "I'm on a budget" or "I will bring my purchase home in my Bentley." This would help everybody who so kindly responds focus (no pun intended) or your question.

But...but...that would eliminate most/all of the irrelevant, snarky, pissing contest responses that fill so much rainy day/2nd coffee time! 😈😈😈

OH you dream if you think anything would eliminate those.
Well, at least the Russians haven't found this site (yet).

People who respond to questions often ask what kind of pictures the poster is taking. I don't think it matters unless he is limited to something very specific all the time, like maybe high speed or macro. I take pictures of virtually everything. I would hate to think I needed one camera and lens combination for trees, another for dogs, another for birds, another for portraits.

The more information the OP gives the easier to answer the question(s)
They great part about carrying a camera is some days I don't know what I might shoot. Inventing and seeing something that
has potential. I was discussing with a very smart business associate (I hope to partner with on projects) about capturing things
on the fly that have potential to be creative and maybe emotional. Their are a number of ways to approach a photo or video
documentary. One of the best is follow the story. Let it create itself. This can be applied to today's marketing. And many visuals
look like caught in the moment.
Jerryc got it right again. I don't shoot birds. I don't shoot landscapes. But I would if I saw something interesting.
I think I talked about lately shooting a famous ballet academy and their summer intensive program for possible serious ballerinas.
It is video. But I look at everything as a picture even the video. These are screen grabs from my editing program.
The story of a visual will write itself. The emotion of these young women striving to condition as well as an
athlete and be disciplined and still have a spirit in their dancing.
You'll have more luck pushing a stone uphill ...

Don’t bet on that! Ugly Hedgehog LLC is a registered ‘Foreign Profit Corporation’ owned by one Konstantin Goudkov. Google it.
He also runs a similar forum called Knitters Paradise and a political forum.
The political forum is like the attic on steroids and those knitting grandmas get stuck into each other too.
A lot of folks suspected that Chris T was some sort of ‘bot’ driven character.

Wow are you right. On the google page was a "freedom of information act"? legal action.
I don't know how I feel about this. Been on this site since 2013 and not sure what I will do.

The simplicity and composition along with the cropping is beautiful. Excellent work. Very professional looking.

Too late to worry about it now. The KGB probably has all of your posts already. If not them then the NSA. Hope you haven’t posted any anti-Trump sentiments.
Great suggestion, not chance in hell of happening. See how in less than a dozen responses this train ran completely off the tracks.
