Was thinking about your brood of babies and future babies yesterday while wandering around Brookfield Zoo... and especially while in the butterfly exhibit

My brood is getting out of control.... I think I bit more than I can chew, so the nursery is now closed and I'm not bringing in any more eggs.... they will have to tough it and grow up outside!!! I released a female and male this morning and so many more to go!!
But every day I see so many fluttering in my garden!!!

Thanks so much, Merry... so far I released 9 with 14 in chrysalis and many more to go. I'm worried I might run out of milkweed leaves and that would be terrible!

Wish I could send you my milkweed. I put the seeds in a pot and they are about 3 ft tall...but still on the deck. Are they deer proof?

My hyacinth beans plant is going crazy. I love it and the hummingbirds do too.

I wish you lived closer, I could use the help too.... I'm going to call the nursery tomorrow where I bought my plants and see if they have any more.... the mom was back laying eggs like crazy today, but I'm not taking anymore in.... it is very overwhelming this year!! When my seeds pop, I will plant them in a pot and hopefully next year they will grow big and tall. I don't know if they are deer proof, you might have to google it.... but they say the milk inside has a horrible taste to other critters... so maybe!!

I don’t know if this will help or not and you possibly already know of them but just in case:

Good luck, I wish one would lay some eggs in my yard!
