Wife and I experienced a similar event. The photographer at our wedding showed up, but that's about all. This was back in the film days, 29 years ago. His photos were terrible, color was off and more. My sister with her point and shoot, saved the day.

Our wedding was the same. The one we hired flaked out but sent a substitute.
She couldn't hardly handle a camera and yes the photos suked.

I photographed weddings for over 30 years and was called the bald guy with the camera. I want everyone to know Im Hal and not bald. I just have a wide part.
